BIF week 2018
At BIF week (19th to 25th of March) you will have classes on six days (18 hours). You can see as many shows of the IMPRO as you like (also in the first festival days before the BIF week starts). You can join a rehearsal of an IMPRO-show (Our Lives showcase). You participate in a panel-discussion about the European project Our Lives. You can join the Jam Session of all BIF-participants. You are invited to the closing party of the IMPRO.

BIF week 2018
The wealth of diversity
Here's the idea of this six-day workshop series: 6 instructors from 6 countries teach you the core of their very personal understanding of impro. The personality of the teacher is not to withdraw behind the content, but be part of the content. And these instructors are waiting for you:
Gilles Delvaulx (Brussels / Belgium)
»For me what really matters on stage is to play something: an emotion, a character or both. And the second aspect is to be here and now with yourself, your partner(s) and the audience.«
Antonio Vulpio (Bologna/Italy)
»Improv is flexibility: we cannot force the universe to improvise with us. The only choice is improvise with the universe. It’s funnier if we do it joyfully.«
Heather Urquhart (London/UK)
»I love improvisation that can make me laugh, cry and think from moment to moment and stories on stage that have humanity even if it’s a scene between a cup and a spoon. I believe this art form has the potential to change lives because of the magic of true collaboration.«
Monica Anastase (Bucharest/Romania)
»I teach improv as joyous discovery, as opposed to ambitious invention. I believe improv is at its best when improvisers make less effort, not more, and lead from the right rather than the left brain.«
Marta Borges (Lisbon/Portugal)
»For me on stage it is all about real emotions, rich characters grounded with truthful situations, with drama, comedy, silence and physicality, laying together organically in the scenes, without fighting. I’m always committed to search for beauty and metaphors while playing with my partners in the scene, trying to help the group to be one team.«
Mia Møller (Copenhagen/Denmark)
»I believe improv is living moment to moment, trust and no fear of what comes next.«
